Meet the designer Terhi Pölkki
Terhi is the heart and soul of the brand. She established the brand almost 10 years ago in 2011. Since then the team has grown and we are celebrating the 10th anniversary this year. The next chapter of the brand started this February when the newly renovated space opened in Uudenmaankatu as a new home for the brand.

Q & A
Hi Terhi, how are you doing?
I am good, thank you. Already eagerly waiting for Spring. The new store just opened and I am super happy with what we did to the space. It looks fresh and relaxing and makes the shoes stand out.
How do you feel working from home at the current situation?
I do enjoy being home a lot but for me the office as a work environment works better. I like to go to work and I feel much more focused at the studio since it's just something I am used to during these years. Once working remotely I usually focus on designing and drawing without any distractions. I like to separate home and work so I can truly be with my family once I am at home.
What inspires you at the moment?
For me nature is the biggest inspiration. I do spend time outdoor and the next AW21 collection will reflect that with the new materials, soles and outdoorsy looks. At the moment I also do dream about traveling as it is impossible at this point.
What is a normal work day for you?
I don't have a normal day at work so they vary a lot. I do the designing and take care of the production so I also keep in touch and call to the factory daily. The factory is one of the most important things that keep the brand going on and I do respect the work they do a lot.

I also have meetings with our team where we plan the months ahead. Accounting is one of my tasks too. But once I'm designing the new collection I like to take some time off, draw and meditate alone in the darkness as that's what I like to call my design process.
What’s you favourite piece from the collection?
My favourites are the Loafer clogs. I like how you can wear them with jeans or with a flower dress. Phil sneaker works well outdoor when I'm walking my dog Coco as well as when cycling to work. Vera Fussbett sandals are easy at home or at work and also so easy to style with socks earlier in the Spring but I also can't wait to wear them during the Summer time at the cottage.
